Hi Everyone,

This our new loft at our newly completed home in Northern California. Having raced pigeons for over 50 years and retiring from 50  years of medicine this year, I decided to downsize to a more manageable size loft. This new loft has 5 -10 foot x 6 foot sections. It was designed for easy cleaning, rodent protection and self sustained when traveling. It took Paula and me about 3 months using every spare moment we had after work to get to this point of completion.

Concrete slab 32 feet x 12 feet poured smooth for ease of cleaning.                                                                              Expanded metal floors

There are 5 sections, all with 2 sections on the left for young birds, feed room in the center with 2 family breeding sections on the right.

Breeder section continuous fresh water system. Works so well with no contamination . The drain hole is 1 inc pvc under and to the back of the loft. It drains in the field behind the loft. At my old loft I put

pvc drain in an old ground squirrel hole and it never clogged or filled! I modified the base of a plastic drinker as you can see. The drip is from the water line on the back side of the loft.

The completed system. Easy to take our and clean when needed.

Gotta have lights in the loft! The big sink is a must!

Tipes traps clocking system being installed                                                                                          You can see how easy it will be to clean with the smooth poured concrete floor.

Continuous drip water system supplying 24 hours of clean fresh water. The cinder blocks are easy to remove and the entire floor can be cleaned in about 30 mins. I do this about every 6 weeks.

Yep, she does everything!!!

The water to the loft as well as the drip system and pvc drainage out to the field

My labor force!!!! I could never keep up with her!!!

Cinder blocks around the base of the entire loft with easy removable in the back for easy cleaning. There is no area rodents can enter easily. Ring camera in the back! Scraper with extension!

All eves are closed with hardware cloth                                                                                                                                                                 Painting is OVER!!!

Notice the concrete counterbalance weights inside the loft to make opening the outside aviary finger touch!!
